AC Schnitzer’s Latest Transformation of the BMW M3 Touring: Power, Style, and Precision Engineering

AC Schnitzer began refining the M3 Touring in early 2023, equipping it with their signature upgrades. The high-performance wagon was enhanced with increased power, custom wheels, a subtle yet striking body kit, and suspension modifications. Now, for the upcoming 2024 Essen Motor Show, the German tuning specialist has revisited the project, this time focusing on the facelifted G81 model introduced by BMW just months ago.

Power Unleashed

BMW’s M division already raised the stakes for the 2025 M3 Touring, bumping the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine to 523 horsepower—20 hp more than the original release. AC Schnitzer takes this further, pushing the powerhouse to an impressive 602 hp. Torque also sees a significant increase, climbing by 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) to a robust 750 Nm (553 lb-ft).

Precision Engineering for the Essen Motor Show

The show car for Essen boasts a reworked quad exhaust system featuring 110-mm carbon-wrapped tips. Custom suspension enhancements drop the ride height by 20 millimeters (0.8 inches), with the option for a coilover suspension for even greater flexibility. Adding to its allure, the M3 Touring sports lightweight forged wheels—20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear—available in gold or black finishes. These wheels reduce weight by up to 35%, improving performance and handling.

Aerodynamic Enhancements

AC Schnitzer’s body kit elevates the M3 Touring’s visual and functional appeal. Up front, the wagon receives front canards and a spoiler lip, while a roof spoiler at the rear adds a dynamic touch. Not just for aesthetics, the rear aero element increases downforce by 20 kilograms (44 pounds) at 124 mph (200 km/h), ensuring stability during high-speed runs. Additional design elements include muscular side skirts, hood trim pieces, and a carbon diffuser, which is available with or without an integrated brake light.

Interior and Finishing Touches

Inside, AC Schnitzer incorporates brushed aluminum accents to elevate the cabin’s sporty elegance. The pedals, shift paddles, and iDrive rotary knob are all adorned with these premium touches. Meanwhile, the engine bay now showcases a custom engine cover designed specifically for the tuned “S58” powerplant.

Experience It at the Essen Motor Show

AC Schnitzer’s reimagined M3 Touring will be on display at the 2024 Essen Motor Show, running from November 30 to December 8. This ultimate combination of power, precision, and design excellence is sure to turn heads and captivate enthusiasts.

Don’t miss the opportunity to witness the next level of BMW’s iconic performance wagon, masterfully transformed by AC Schnitzer.
