“Now which direction is my nest?” by Alison Tuck, UK

The Nikon 2025 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have just revealed their finalists — and the results are nothing short of side-splitting brilliance.
Featuring 40 laugh-out-loud photographs, 3 curated portfolios, and 10 uproarious short videos, this year’s competition captures nature at its most unexpectedly funny. From lions pulling priceless expressions to penguins tripping over their own feet, these moments remind us that wildlife has a sense of humor all its own.
But behind the laughter lies a deeper purpose — a call to appreciate and protect the creatures that share our planet. The contest not only honors the artistry and timing of talented photographers but also raises awareness for global conservation efforts.
The winners will be announced on December 9th in London, followed by a weeklong exhibition at Gallery@Oxo from December 10–14, where visitors can experience the lighter side of the wild — and the powerful message behind the smiles.
